The purpose of the Winter Symposium is to provide high quality information, social interaction and emotional support for the pediatric transplant community.  The Winter Symposium has featured several educational sessions with topics such as nutrition, financial information, school system issues and emotional issues. 

Other aspects of the program include door prizes, interactive games, complimentary lunch and snacks, an excellent keynote speaker and an opportunity to make new friends.  Peer socialization and support is an important part of the conference.

Families and medical professionals are encouraged to register below!

Saturday, June 13 through Wednesday, June 18, 2009 

Daily activities include fitness activities, crafts, and water sports. Counselors facilitate group discussions and provide lessons on self perception, self confidence, and self efficacy. Other important topics of discussion at the group meetings include medication, career counseling, and nutrition.

Activities at camp include special social events, group meals, swimming, boating, games and crafts. The parents participate in educational programs to learn about coping skills, peer support, financial issues, nutrition, and medication.

The BRIDGES Foundation pays the camp expenses for each family so they may attend at no charge.
